Gaming license in Malta

OTTO is a gaming company licensed by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) in Malta, a country in the European Union. The Malta gaming jurisdiction is well knows for being one of the most reputable in the world. The LGA is closely monitoring gaming website operating out of Malta and they demand that the licensed gaming companies hold sufficient funds to pay winnings to their Players at all times. Since our lottery is drawn by a physical machine, there is even an LGA inspector present at every sinlge draw to make sure that all procedures are followed!


Security features on our site

When you log on to your account on our website, you can see the address of the website changing a bit in your browser. Instead of saying http://... it says https://... It means that data passed through these pages are encrypted and secure. Only you and OTTO has access to the information.


Note that this does not apply to all pages, only the ones where we exchange some kind of data with you such as your Profile page which contains your name and address, and of course all the pages involved in transactions (deposits, withdrawals, tickets). Pages such as the help pages do not fall into this category because they don't contain sensitive information.


Our SSL certificate has been issues by Thawte, the industry leader in online security.


Because we handle credit card information OTTO also have to adhere to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). We conduct regular penetration tests on our web sites to make sure it is secure so that you can feel safe when using your credit card to play our games.


Money laundering reporting

OTTO will not make a payment in excess of €2300 out of a Player's account until we are satisfied that the identity, age and place of residence of the Player has been verified.

Upon the slightest indication of transactions and/or activities suggesting potential money laundering we shall report to the relevant authorities.

 

Dormant and inactive accounts

If no transaction has been recorded on a Player's account for 30 months, OTTO shall remit the balance in that account to the Player or, if the Player cannot be located, to the Lotteries and Gaming Authority, provided that no claim shall lie against OTTO for remitting the balance in a Player's account to the Authority. The account will thereafter be deleted permanently.
